I Like Bland Things (don’t ask…Kelsey picked the title)

Can I just tell you about the neatest lady, friends? The hospitality lady here is so kind to us, offering to take us to the beach, to church, bringing us chocolate from IKEA, making us smoothies….she is absolutely a blessing. And she tells great stories. Having lived in both Greece and the States, she is a wealth of information.

Today was a book day, definitely, as this week has been. We continue to record ISBNs and stamp books. Check out this huge book I recorded today! It’s an obnoxious size and not even in English! But it’s a beautiful book…

It's significantly bigger than my computer, and I have a big laptop as it is....

This evening is quiet because our friends (the group from Florida) is gone to another part of Greece till Saturday night, but it’s been fun to experiment with making our own meals and taking walks the direction we don’t normally go to see what we can find. We did find a neat cemetery:

We don’t have many weekend plans so we’ll see what comes next! Maybe we will finally decide on a name for our fish. (We’ve received lots of suggestions). We might explore the giant Walmart-like store. Or we might create a mural for the library with all the dust covers we took off books last week. If we’re brave, we’ll explore some more of Athens. I’ll keep y’all posted 😉
